This course is structured into two modules, with Ethics and Professional Conduct taught across both Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK) 1 and FLK 2.

Study Options and Support

Part-time: will cover two units per week.

You will monitor your progress throughout the course with mock assessments and have opportunities to discuss content and ask questions in regular group sessions.

You will also gain full access to our ULaw SQE Revision App, designed to embed and prepare your Functioning Legal Knowledge effectively ahead of the SQE1 assessments.

Course and Assessment Dates

The dates of our SQE Preparation Courses align with the SQE assessment dates. If the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) changes an assessment date, we may need to adjust our course dates accordingly.

Each intake will close for online booking at 17:00 on the Wednesday before start date.

Details

Our SQE1 Preparation Course Online is designed to prepare you for the SQE1 assessments. While the course includes a wide range of practice tests and materials, it does not involve formal assessment and does not lead to an academic award.

What You Need to Know About the SQE1 Assessments?

The SQE1 assessments test functioning legal knowledge (FLK) through two multiple-choice assessments, each comprising 180 single best answer questions:

FLK1 covers: Business Law and Practice; Dispute Resolution; Contract; Tort; Legal System of England and Wales; Constitutional and Administrative Law; and Legal Services.
FLK2 covers: Property Practice; Wills and the Administration of Estates; Solicitors Accounts; Land Law; Trusts; Criminal Law; and Criminal Practice.

You will need to book, pay for, and sit your SQE assessments externally, including handling any requests for reasonable adjustments. Visit sra.org.uk for full details. The course fee does not include the SRA’s SQE1 assessment fee, which must be paid directly to the SRA. Please check their website for the latest information on fees and resits.
