This course is designed to prepare you for the SQE2 assessments by developing the core practical legal skills required:

Flexible Study Options

Full-time: Six units per week
Part-time: Two units per week

You’ll gain hands-on experience through practice assessments and expert feedback to enhance your skills and confidence. This course also supports your readiness for Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).

Students receive full access to the ULaw SQE Revision App, designed to prepare and embed your Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK), ensuring you’re ready for the SQE2 assessments.

What to Expect in the SQE2 Assessments
The SQE2 assessments consist of approximately 14 hours of practical skills testing over five half days, with 16 written and oral tasks across the following skills:

Client interviewing (including linked attendance note/legal analysis)
Advocacy
Case and matter analysis (including negotiation planning)
Legal research
Legal writing
Legal drafting

The tasks are set in key practice areas:

Criminal Practice (e.g., advising clients at the police station)
Dispute Resolution
Property Practice
Wills and Intestacy, Probate Administration and Practice
Business Organisations, Rules and Procedures (including money laundering and financial services)
